footdog is an app that measures ambient noise and responds to excessive noise above the user-defined decibel level by playing a counter sound through the speaker and recording video evidence for management. It is suitable for collecting evidence of inter-floor noise, security for single-person households, apartment noise issues, and safety for women living alone.

footdog uses the smartphones microphone to measure ambient noise. When the noise exceeds the set decibel level, the app plays a counter sound through the speaker. This counter sound is loud enough to block the noise and intimidate intruders. It can be connected to a regular speaker or connected via Bluetooth. The app also records noise and video for evidence collection. This recording can be later submitted to the police to address noise issues or identify intruders.
